Claudia Tutino, M. A. Sociology

Claudia Tutino is sociologist. Her research interests focus on the analysis of practical police work taking place in public spaces. In the course of this she is focussing on the (re-)production conditions’ of knowledge structures as well as the perception and construction of relevant spaces for the police. In the context of her doctoral thesis she strives to explore perception and valuation patterns of the police relating to right-wing motivated violence acts in Germany.

She is a research assistant in the context of the BMBF funded junior research group PluS-i. She is focussing on a sociological and qualitative-empirical research perspective and analyses aspects of the so-called context adequacy (Kontextadäquanz) and professionalization issues of policing.
